Update December 18th
The building is really starting to look like it could be used for church services in the not too distant future. More work has been done over the last two weeks on drywall, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, roofing, insulation, steel work, and ceilings. Over the next few weeks, the crews are planning to build the sound and lighting control booth and the stage. Also scheduled to be done during January is the installation of the ceiling tiles, doors, millwork, lights, and paint. The flooring and electronics will go in last to ensure that they do not get damaged. Keep praying for the crews!

First Week of December
Progress is still moving forward on the new building. Much of the work in the last month is not obvious by looking through the windows, however, the crew is still working hard and every day brings us closer to having a dedicated facility. Some highlights of the recent installations include emergency exits, electrical outlets, air conditioning ducts, sheetrock, and office walls.

Building Progress from Justin
The construction is moving along nicely. Most of the walls are up, the air conditioning ducts are going in, and the electrical conduits are being installed. There is still much work to be done, but each day shows new progress. The foreman onsite has assured me that he is going to push the crews to work as hard as they can to get the job done as quickly as possible. Please continue to be in prayer for those building our facility.

Building Update from Project Manager
(This post was written October 18th)
Good news all around on the new building project this week. As Chuck mentioned at church, the loan closed on Friday, October 10th. Meetings with the general contractor took place this past week to coordinate the remainder of the construction activities and contractors resumed work as of this past Friday October 17th. While future delays are always possible, the general contractor has given an estimated time frame of 3 months for completion of the project. Here are a few specific things you can be praying about for this project:
· Safety of all contractors working on the project,
· Smooth coordination of activities,
· Removal of barriers to completion, and
· Continued giving toward fulfillment of all pledged funds.

Meet Justin Phy - Project Manager

I want to introduce you to my friend Justin Phy. Justin has been around Crossbridge for a while now and is managing the whole process of the Building Construction and move! He is such a great guy. My respect for him grows every time we meet. I gave him some questions to answer to let you know a little bit more about him and what he is doing with this project.
Who are you?
I am Justin Phy. I am 34 years old and married to Ashley Phy. I was born in Freeport, Texas and grew up in Angleton, Texas. I am the Vice President of Barich, Inc., a technology planning and project management firm. I spend about 80% of my time dealing with corporate issues, and about 20% of my time managing or consulting on projects.
What specific passages or verses of scripture have been impactful to you?
One passage that I learned as a child that I continually reflect on is Hebrews 12:1-2 (King James Version):
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
What does a project manager do?
A Project Manager is the person who takes overall responsibility for coordinating the implementation of a project. This includes management of the project planning, the execution of the tasks required to complete the project, and controlling the resources used.
What are you most excited about for Crossbridge moving into a facility?
I am excited to see Crossbridge have a facility that can be used seven days a week to support the current ministries and create opportunities for new ones.
How can the church being praying for you and the building process?
There are 3 areas that I believe need constant prayer during this process:
1. For those building the facility, God’s blessings and protection, and the elimination of obstacles to completion.
2. For Crossbridge staff, wisdom to lead us through this transition according to God’s will.
3. For Crossbridge partners and regular attendees, consistent and ongoing financial support as the Lord leads.
Pictures Part 1
As you can see from the pictures below, we already have numerous walls built within our facility. Many of them are already sheet rocked and insulated.
