Newcomer's Open House

New to Crossbridge?  We invite you to our Newcomer's Open House where you can meet the Crossbridge staff and enjoy some good food in our lobby here at 1049 Eldridge.  To sign up, email us at info@crossbridge.cc.  We'll meet for about an hour and you'll hear from our pastor about how you can take the next step in partnering with Crossbridge Church!

Partnership Class

Interested in joining Crossbridge? Our next Partnership Class is going to be held Sunday, May 3, from 4-7pm. Child care is provided birth to Pre-K, by registration only. Partnership Class is where you can learn how we got started, where we are going, and how you can be a part! This class is required for those who want to join Crossbridge Church. Update Your Website Bookmarks

As you may have noticed, we are in the midst of developing our new website and launching it soon! Because of that, we have had to switch from the server that hosts our current website to a new one. For those of you that manually type "www.crossbridge.cc" - this won't affect you. However, if you use a bookmark, most likely it saved it as "www.crossbridge.cc/main." In that case, you would most likely get an error page.

We are working to get it redirected, but wanted to make you aware to update your bookmarks to www.crossbridge.cc.

Can't keep up...

Things are happening so fast that the video shot this morning was outdated by 2:00 p.m. this afternoon.  We'll still post it first thing on Wed, but the building already looks so much different compared to when it was shot.

Here are things that happened today.

• Windows were cleaned...never realized just how dirty they were.  Wow, they are clean now.
• Coffee area floor completed
• 1/2 carpet in Auditorium laid down
• Kids Rooms completely painted, floored and ceiling tiled
• 1/2 stage curtains hung
• Offices completely painted, floored and ceiling tiled
• AC completed
• Recessed can lighting in lobby was turned on today...looks amazing!
• half of decorative lighting in lobby/auditorium were completed
• Auditorium chairs arrived
• Acoustical panelling arrived
• Coffee Tables arrived

Grand Opening April 5th

We invite you to the Grand Opening of our new facility at 1049 Eldridge on April 5, 2009!  Service times are 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. on Sundays.  We have an exciting atmosphere for the kids birth-5th grade where they can come and learn more about Jesus and who the Bible says He is.

Rehearsal and Prayer Night at 1049

Thursday is usually the night the Worship Team rehearses, so we are going to crash their worship rehearsal! We'll spend some time praying again for our church and for what God might do in us and through us in this facility.

Everything starts at 7:00 p.m. on March 5th, so make plans to be there!

PRAYERS ON THE FLOOR - THIS WEDNESDAY!

This Wednesday (Feb 11) from 7-8 p.m. we have the opportunity to pray over our new facility and our church community. I want to invite you to come to this time of reflection and prayer. You will get a prayer guide and some brief instructions when you arrive and then you are free to pray throughout the building. We will give you some chalk to use so you can actually record your prayer on the floor of the building! We will have staff stationed throughout to help in any way needed.

There is no childcare for this event. If you think your kids would enjoy it, bring them and encourage them to write some prayers out for our church!

This will be a sweet time for us as a church family and I hope you will be able to join us.

Video Update 1-21-09

I started running out of battery midway, so this video really moves along quickly. Sometimes the narrator is slightly distracted by the fact that the screen was flashing "RED" and saying the camera was about to die. But, this should give you a feel for where we're headed...I'll let you decide if it was the battery that ended the video or Chuck. :)

Update 1-19-2009

Stopped by the building this afternoon.  I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in.  Usually there are stacks of sheetrock and AC ducts in the lobby that take up a lot of room.  However, today it was completely empty and the floor was swept.  The ceiling grid was in place and all walls were completed.  I asked Melvin our Construction Foreman what was going on.  He said we were getting ready to start putting the flooring in!

It's amazing how quickly things are moving along.  Here are some bullets of other things I noticed that were completed.

• The entire sound/media booth is sheetrocked and looks like it's part of the room now.
• Entire stage is completed, including the closets and the equipment ramp that leads down to the green room back stage.
• All recessed lighting cans are in place throughout the lobby.  You can really start to see how this area is going to look!
• All floors have been swept and are being prepped for covering.

Other things that happened last week.

• Our chairs were ordered and will be here right on time!
• Our stage curtains are being designed and are set to be installed exactly on time!
• Our building sign is being finalized and is set to be installed on time.

Update 1-13-09

• I went over to the building this morning to see the progress they've made since Friday. They are really moving fast over there. They have since added all flourescent lighting to the offices, hallways, and children's rooms. You can really start to get a feel for how the rooms will be.
  
• In addition, they extended the furr down from the restrooms to make one over the welcome area as well. They built the walls for the closet behind there too.
  
• In the Worship Center, the stage is nearly complete, they are onto the more intricate work of creating the two sets of stairs on the front sides of the stage and the set leading from the offices.
  
• All of our cabling for Sound, Visual, and Lighting have been run as of this morning.
  
• Last week we purchased two reception desks that will be used in the lobby. This was such an answer to prayer as we were seeing many overpriced desks that were way out of our budget. These two were used in an Aveda salon that recently closed down. They will be perfect for our information table and kids check in desk. Here are some pictures.

• This week we are looking to purchase our chairs for the main worship center and are finalizing our order for all networking for the offices.
